Impression and Scanning:
Initially, an impression of the patient's mouth is taken.
The impression is then scanned using a 3D scanner to create a digital model.
Designing the Crown:
The digital model is used to design the crown using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
For a screw-retained crown, the design includes the abutment and the crown.
For a PFM crown, the design involves the metal substructure with the porcelain fused on top.
3D Printing the Model:
The crown design is sent to a 3D printer that uses resin or other suitable material to print a physical model of the crown.
Manufacturing the Crown:
For a screw-retained crown, the final crown is milled from a block of material like zirconia or PMMA.
For a PFM crown, the metal substructure is milled or printed, and then the porcelain is added by a dental technician.
Finishing and Polishing:

Screw Retained Crown Assembly:
In the case of a screw-retained crown, the crown is attached to the abutment with a screw. This allows for easier removal if needed for maintenance.
Fitting and Adjustment:
